Revival = manifestation of the glory and presence of God. How much do you want revival? More than food, water, or sleep? Are you hungry and thirsty for the living God?
A. W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God … who are you pursuing today? Jesus is the “bread of life” [John 6:35] … what are you eating today? Jesus is “living water” [John 4:10] … what are you drinking today?
Psalm 27:4: “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”
Psalm 42:1-2: “As the deer pants for the water, so pants my soul after Thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God.”
Psalm 63:1-2: “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is: to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”
Psalm 84:2: “My soul longeth, yea even fainteth for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”
Joel 2:28: “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”
Matt 4:4, Luke 4:4: “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”
Do you really want Joel 2:28-29? Then read and obey the passages below!
2 Chron 7:14: “If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Joel 2:12-17: “Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?”
