I am pro-life. I make no exceptions for rape or incest. Why? God commands us to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19). An unborn baby is a unique person made in the image of God from conception, regardless of how conceived. He or she can never be replaced.
Still, sometimes abortion is a good thing. Just as we must choose physical life, so also we must choose spiritual life. Physically, only women have babies. Spiritually, everyone does. The babies we have show who our spiritual father is: Satan or Jesus Christ (John 8:38-44).
Some human desires give birth to holiness. Full grown, they bring eternal life. If Christ through the Holy Spirit resides in our hearts, then we will produce the good babies of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Other desires give birth to sin and, full grown, bring eternal death (James 1:15). Pride, greed, lust, envy, and other desires lead to babies that we don’t want! These evil children include unbelief, idolatry, disobedience, murder, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, bestiality, lying, and theft (Exodus 20:3-17). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). If we want to avoid eternal death in hell, then we must abort the babies of our sinful desires at the altar of repentance. Some of us must slay the evil children too. We must “put to death” the body’s evil deeds (Romans 8:13, Colossians 3:5).
Today, spiritually good babies are slaughtered on Satan’s altars while spiritually evil ones are allowed to live and grow. The physical evidence of this truth is thrown in the trash at abortion clinics. Satan wants us to choose death, but God wants us to choose life. Spiritual death is a “good” abortion, so let us repent and turn to Jesus Christ. He alone is life (John 1:4, 14:6).
