The Church is Destroying Civilization

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” – Psalm 11:3 (NKJV)

“Christianity is the very root and foundation of Western civilization.” – Dinesh D’Souza

christianity western-civilization vishal-mangalwadi bibleThe church doesn’t need this ungodly world to dismantle and destroy the foundations of Western civilization. She’s doing it herself. The root of civilization is Christianity, the root of Christianity the Bible. The world preaches another gospel and the church has followed suit (Galatians 1:8-9).

Compassion, faith, forgiveness, goodness, grace, honor, integrity, justice, love, and mercy are just some fruits of Western civilization. Unbelievers think these values and virtues are universal, but they’re not. This fruit is exclusive to Christianity and the Bible. Produced by the Holy Spirit, it is the righteous character of Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:22-23). He’s the vine and we’re the branches (John 15:5). We must abide in Christ if we are to bear fruit; without him we can do nothing (15:5). So if we cut ourselves off from this holy root, then our fruit will die.

Cutting herself off from the root of Western civilization is just what the church is doing. She tries to teach its values without stating their source: the Bible. The church produces clean books, films, and television shows. But she doesn’t tell audiences what makes them clean: the gospel of Jesus Christ, as found in the Bible. The church doesn’t want to beat audiences’ heads with that Bible either, although the Word is God’s holy hammer. If people want the Word to fall on their heads like soft dew and rain, then they must trust and obey (Deuteronomy 32:2). Disobedient unbelievers feel only fire and a hammer (Jeremiah 23:29).

when-calls-the-heart janette-okeOne recent example is the TV series “When Calls the Heart” (2014), based on Janette Oke’s books. I love this show, but not the false gospel that producer Brian Bird preaches through it. He wants to give audiences the values of civilization without the Bible, which he calls medicine. Yet only the Bible is true medicine. Giving audiences any other is worldly wisdom. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). So sinners can’t believe without the Bible.

The church also tries to call Christian values universal. For example, “A Long Way Off” (2014) tells the story of the prodigal son, but producer Michael Davis said, “The story of the prodigal son is not unique to any religion. I’ve always been drawn to that story because it’s universal, and stories that are universal can appeal to many different people on many different levels.” This story, found only in the Bible (Luke 15:11-32), is a parable of the repentant sinner returning to God. No other “holy book” contains it. Other religions don’t preach justice, sin, repentance, or salvation. They have no Jesus Christ. So claims of universality are nonsense.

All this pseudo-Christianity has no spiritual power (2 Timothy 3:5). It isn’t saving anyone, just making money for pseudo-Christians. I hope their money perishes with them (Acts 8:20).

Jesus christ robe righteousness clothingCivilization without Christianity is hell on earth. It makes a man think he’s good when he’s not (Psalm 14:1-3, Ecclesiastes 3:18, Jeremiah 17:9, Matthew 19:17, Romans 3:23). Then it gives him fig leaves and calls them a “robe of righteousness” (Genesis 3:7, Isaiah 61:10). But fig leaves can’t enter heaven. Only robes made “white in the blood of the Lamb” can (Revelation 7:14). When will this self-made emperor open his eyes and realize he’s naked? If he does repent, his salvation won’t be the work of the church. She’s doing all she can to keep sinners spiritually blind and naked.  It is the church’s duty to warn sinners of hell and judgment – to preach the biblical gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ alone. Yet she refuses.

The only firm foundation is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). He’s the living Word of God (John 1:1, 14). Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word is eternal (Matthew 24:35). If we don’t build our lives on an eternal foundation, then we will be destroyed. So will our civilization.

Bible and candleGreek and English translations of the Bible produced the Reformation in Europe. A return to the Bible produced revivals in England and America. It’s sustaining persecuted believers in China, which now has the largest Christian population of any nation on earth. Yet the Western church treats the Bible like an antique toy. John Wycliffe (1320-1384), William Tyndale (1494-1536), and countless others didn’t sacrifice their lives so a worldly church could throw the Bible away.

The Bible is heavenly bread, milk, and meat (Deuteronomy 8:3, John 6:35, 1 Corinthians 3:2, Hebrews 5:12-14, 1 Peter 2:2). It’s a divine treasure, given to us by God for salvation (Psalm 119:162, 2 Timothy 3:15-16). We shouldn’t trade this precious Bible for cheap trinkets. If Western civilization is destroyed, then the church has no one to blame but herself.

  1. I’m not sure you know enough about the show or about me to accuse me of anything, let alone preaching a false gospel. Rather than work within the confines of Matthew 18:15, you choose to attack anonymously and in public. That tells me pretty much everything I need to know about you and your approach to the world.

    • “Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34). I don’t need to meet you. I’ve seen most of the “Love comes softly” movies, the WCTH film (with a deleted scene containing a Bible verse), and some TV episodes. I’ve also read and watched most WCTH interviews, including two with you.

It doesn’t matter who I am because my opinion doesn’t matter. All that matters is what God says through his Word. That’s my lens on the world. Refusing to give this dying world the Bible so they won’t be offended is a false gospel. It doesn’t matter who preaches it.

    • When a person issues a public teaching, there is no need for 18:15. There is no question of what you taught on the show–unless you wish to deny what was broadcast.

The reason for a Matthew 18:15 is to confirm that the person said what he allegedly said. There is a record of what you taught. It was broadcast to the public.

Since there is no dispute over what you taught, the duty of the Christian is to warn others of the ungodly teaching.

That you would hide behind a false interpretation of the clear meaning of Matthew 18:15 “tells me pretty much everything I need to know about you and your approach to the world”–and the Bible.

  2. You lost me at “the root of Christianity the bible”. Whaaaat? So the early Christians stumbled around lost until the bible was pieced together? And even then it was very rare, so until the printing press there were no Christians?? Yikes. Even the Holy Bible tells us it is incomplete, and NEVER claims to be the pillar and foundation of truth. You know this, right?

    • What is your religious background?

The early Christians weren’t stumbling around because they had the Old Testament, which was canonized before Jesus was even born. Every time he and his disciples referred to the Scriptures in their preaching, they quoted the Old Testament. Acts 15:21: “Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

The Bible is not incomplete and it never says so. The church is called “the pillar and foundation of the truth,” but Jesus Christ is its chief cornerstone, the living “Word of God” and “the truth” (John 1:1, 14, 14:6). “No other foundation can anyone lay than Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).

      • Wow…really? The Old Testament was fulfilled when Jesus, born of the Blessed Mother, came and died for many. He made a NEW COVENANT in His blood. The early Christians did not return to the old covenant, did they? The apostles, following the descent of the Holy Spirit, began teaching and preaching (oral tradition) the New Covenant (not the old). They were given the authority to bind and lose.
About the Holy Bible being the ROOT of Christianity. CHRISTianity, see how the or the Catholic Church to bind the letters of the Bible together. Before the Bible, there was oral teaching and preaching by the apostles and their successors among others. If you believe all we have is the written word you are missing out on ALOT.
Side note: what did the Ark of the Covenant contain?

      • You have been lied to and deceived!

        1. The Old Testament is NOT the old covenant. It contains that covenant (Exodus-Deuteronomy). The Old Testament is the Word of God and it will never pass away. It is eternal. Besides, Jesus fulfilled the law. He didn’t destroy it. He and his disciples preached divine truth from the Old Testament. They did NOT preach oral tradition! Have you compared the New Testament with the Old, namely how much of the latter is quoted in the former?!

        2. Ark of the Covenant = Aaron’s rod that budded, 10 commandments, pot of manna.

      • …see how the word itself has a “root” word in it? Christ is the root, not the bible as you claim. If you refer to John 21:25 or john 20:30 you will see that all the things Jesus said and did could fill the worlds books. Is all that info unimportant? By no means! The apostles were commanded to teach and preach (and baptize), not to write a book. They were guided by the Holy Spirit. It took nearly 400 years for….

      • Of course it wasn’t destroyed. It was FULFILLED! The old testament is a FORSHADOWING of what was to come. It is filled with types! We don’t sacrifice animals on the altar anymore, Jesus is the Lamb of God that was slain once and forever. The Ark of the old covenant was made of pure gold, contained the written word of God, contained manna, the staff of Aaron (signifying authority). Mary, the new Ark was “full of grace” (pure), carried the living word of God, carried the bread of life, carried the supreme authority in her womb. This is but one “type” from the old testament.
Anyway, my point is that the Bible alone (sola scriptura) is insufficient. The Church that Jesus established, that He made embassadors for Him, that He gave the keys too is the pillar and foundation of truth. It cannot be destroyed. Hades cannot prevail against it….ever.
You may be quite surprised to read the writings of the early Church fathers.

      • Mary is not the new ark. And the Bible alone is sufficient. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4). Genesis to Revelation (minus Apocrypha) is the eternal Word of God. It isn’t going anywhere and we will all be judged by it.

  3. The early church fathers are rife with heresy. Their false doctrine opposes the truth of the Scriptures. People who rely upon them are relying upon those who are deceived and deceiving. One of the greatest deceivers is Augustine who lies are at the bottom of the false teaching of both the Catholic church and the leaders of the Reformation. We must always cling to the Scriptures because the word of man comes from a sinful heart led astray by Satan.

    • Yes, every word.
“The jews then disputed among themselves, saying “how can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them “Truly, truly, i say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and i will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and i live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me….AFTER THIS MANY OF HIS DECIPLES DREW BACK AND NO LONGER WENT ABOUT WITH HIM. JESUS SAID TO THE TWELVE; DO YOU ALSO WISH TO GO AWAY?”
Mere symbolism? Would Jesus’ deciples have a problem with mere symbolism? Did Jesus stop them and say “whoa, wait a minute, you’re misunderstanding me”

      • Calvin and Luther for sure because they did not cast aside the practice of infant baptism. Biblical baptism is for believers, not for those who cannot consciously choose Christ. Both of these reformers attributed some aspect of grace to this man-made work. Additionally, John Calvin drank deeply from the well of error that Augustine taught, which is why he believed in and taught infant baptism. The post that I included in my reply up above goes into the error more indepth. I also included a link at the bottom of the post that explains Augustine’s errors in greater detail and their impact upon the leaders of the Reformation.
My husband and I attended a Lutheran church recently, Missouri Synod, they are more particular about holding to the Word of God, but we left before the service was over because it was so catholic like. My husband, a former catholic, remarked about this. Luther also believed in transubstantiation which is a heretical doctrine. The bread and the wine do not literally become the body and blood of Jesus Christ, but they represent His body broken for us and His blood shed for us and we are to remember His death for us when we take communion. Thank you for the great questions and encouragement. God bless you:)

      • I did a little research in Reformation history and doctrine as an undergrad (religion minor), but that was over 10 years ago! Thanks for reminding me about infant baptism. Calvin didn’t like Anabaptists for this reason and I wrote a paper on it for a Reformation history class, which I’ve since lost. And yes, I disagree with Luther on transubstantiation. I didn’t like his tossing aside the book of James either. Thanks again.

  4. Jesus nowhere said that the wafer is His body and the wine is His blood and that we should worship the wafer because that is Christ. What kind of blasphemous idolatry is this? This all comes about because those who are untaught in the Scriptures (do not have the Holy Spirit indwelling them, Who is our resident Teacher) wrest verses out of their context to promote blasphemy and error. Jesus made the analogy between His blood and body and drink and food because the Jews were coming after Jesus so that He could continue to feed Him just as He did when He fed the five thousand with five barley loaves and two small fish. Jesus pointed them toward the food that would give them eternal life, His holy sacrifice for the salvation of their souls.

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:28-40

It is obvious that the Jews who left Jesus Christ over His analogy between food and drink and His body and blood were not given to Christ by the Father. Jesus said that those who are given to Him He will not lose and that everyone who believes in Him will have everlasting life. Just like the Jews who were offended the Catholic church stumbles over Christ’s analogy and so misses the truth about the eternal life that He gives us through faith in Him and His death upon the cross and resurrection from the dead.

    http://holdingforthhisword.wordpress.com/2014/04/25/the-world/

    • Jesus ABSOLUTELY DID hold the bread at the last supper and say “this is my body” and then the wine and say “this is my blood”. He told us to “do this in memory of me”. So we “do this” and you call us idolators! My Lord tells me to do something, i do it. Not everyone who calls Jesus “Lord” is going to heaven. He tells us this himself. Unfortunately you are very untaught in the scriptures and pick and choose what is “easy” for you to understand. You either take it all or leave it all.

  5. He said to do this is remembrance of Me, He didn’t say this is Me and worship the wafer as Me which is what the Catholic church teachers, which is nothing but blasphemous idolatry. The bread and wine represent His body and blood to remind us of His sacrifice on our behalf and to show us that He is the One Who gives us eternal life, through faith in Him, not through ingesting some consecrated wafer that a rebellious sinner has declared to be His body contrary to what the Scriptures teach.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is my body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

If we eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of Jesus Christ and thereby proclaim His death until He comes, then obviously we are not actually eating His literal body nor drinking His literal blood. Saying that we are eating the actual body of Christ and drinking His actual blood is a perversion of what Jesus Christ taught in John 6 which was to point us to Him as the true source of life; He give us eternal life through faith in Him. Communion is His ordinance given to us to remind us of His sacrificial death upon the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and His resurrection from the dead for our justification. We are reconciled to God the Father through His shed blood and His propitiation through His death in our place. His resurrection guarantees us eternal life through faith in Him. Nowhere in the Scriptures are we exhorted to do anything other than repent of our sin and believe in Jesus Christ for our salvation.

We don’t have to confess our sins to a priest, baptism does not bring us into the family of God but is instead a testimony of our faith in Jesus Christ, communion is a wonderful reminder of our Lord’s death in our place not they means by which we receive Jesus Christ or a bloodless re-sacrifice of Christ through the offering of the consecrated wafer. Scripture, the Holy Bible, is all we need for faith and practice, tradition and church edicts are not given to us for our edification but instead lead us astray. Jesus Christ rules and reigns over His church and does not have a vice-regent here on this Earth. Only God’s Word is without error, no man, all are sinners, can make such a claim. I’m sure there are other errors that are taught by the Catholic church that I haven;t covered. but these are sufficient to prove it is an apostate religious institution. Why don’t your turn from this heretical religious system and put your faith in Jesus Christ; who we learn about only from the Scriptures.

    http://holdingforthhisword.wordpress.com/2013/08/05/the-love-of-jesus-christ/

    • I am so sorry that you reject our Lord and mock His Body and Blood as they did 2000 yrs ago. You’ve been lied to, and in turn regurgitate these lies making you also a false teacher. 2000 yrs. the true Church of Jesus Christ has lasted. Your new religion will come and go, for it is built on sand, and the Catholic Church will still stand firmly on the Rock for which it was built. I will pray for you.

      • Jesus is the living Word of God, the way, the truth, and the life (John 1:1, 14:6). The church is the pillar and ground of the truth only because Jesus has given them truth through his Word (1 Timothy 3:15). Truth originates with God, not men. Jesus is the foundation, not men (1 Corinthians 3:11). Jesus is the bridegroom, the church the bride. Jesus is the head, the church the body. Jesus takes the lead; the church follows. The church is also a worldwide body of believers, not a denomination or building. So the RCC has unbiblical views of Jesus and the church. It wants to take unlawful control (like a bad wife) and is spewing lies. “To the law and to the testimony; if they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).

Unless a person is born again, of water and the Holy Spirit, he or she cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5). You must repent and be converted, if you want your sins to be blotted out (Acts 3:19; cf 2:38). Believe on Jesus and you will be saved (16:31). Good day.

  6. Well, the Holy Spirit doesn’t lie and God’s Word is true, so I am not deceived. You, however, have been following the doctrines of demons that have led countless millions to hell through centuries. You have aligned yourself with those who murder the true saints of God. You are worshiping a false god who cannot save.

Those who belong to God have always been reconciled to Him through His glorious Son Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ has always been the means of our salvation from right after Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden, God promised our Savior. He promised the Savior to Abraham and the gospel of our reconciliation was preached to the nation of Israel. The gospel was not clearly revealed as when and after Christ came but the means of salvation for Old Testament saints is the same means of salvation for all who are reconciled to God. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and He is the only One who can bring us to God through faith in Him. This is wonderful news for our salvation is not dependent upon the whims and prevarications of men nor upon our own self-efforts or works.. God, who cannot lie, has promised us eternal life and this life is in His Son Jesus Christ. Eternal life is secure through faith in Christ Jesus.

But as man as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13
We do not become children of God based upon our parentage, our works or self-efforts cannot save us, and the declarations or benedictions of religious man are powerless to secure our salvation. Only God makes us His children through faith in His Son Jesus Christ, through belief in His name.

    http://holdingforthhisword.wordpress.com/2013/09/08/the-doctrine-of-salvation/

    • I actually agree with your last two paragraphs, they are spot on. And your first paragraph is exactly what has happened to you and all of the separated people. You hate what you do not understand. Instead of praying for the Holy Spirit to guide you, you rely on your own intellect to save you. Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ consists of giving your entire life, your entire heart to Him. St. Paul taught in Romans, Galations and elsewhere that justification was more than a legal decree; it established us as God’s children by grace alone. Nowhere did St. Paul ever teach that we were justified by faith ALONE. Sola fide is unscriptural.

  7. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-9

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and the He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was in me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith-the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:2-9

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness because in His forbearance God had previously passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is the boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then make void the law through? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. Romans 3:21-31

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?'” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?'” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is not distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall the call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:4-17

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:22-26

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?-just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:1-11

You and the Catholic church are arguing with God and His Word. Your church uses philosophy and intellectual reasoning to come to the disastrous errors that condemn people to hell, people for whom Christ died. You do not understand the truth of God’s Word that we are justified solely through faith in Jesus Christ because you are blinded. The gift of eternal life is offered to us because of the grace of God; we receive the gift of eternal life by faith in His Son Jesus Christ. We believe what the Bible says about Him and what He has done for us. I pray the Lord Jesus Christ uses these passages from His glorious Word to enlighten your heart and mind for salvation.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

  8. Praise God that your heart is to try all things by the Word of God! That is a work of the Holy Spirit in your heart. God bless you:)
